Many years ago, we decided not to sell our hotel rooms via third-party booking sites such as Booking. Have a meal at L'Osteria Di Giovanni - probably best to book as it was really busy when went, but we were lucky enough to get the last table.
Real italian cooking and real italian customers - great atmosphere and delicious! I didn't have it, but apparently the Bistecca alla Fiorentina is the best. Take a stroll up the Boboli Gardens - more amazing views! It's steep though, but lovely on a crisp December morning.
We visited on a Sunday morning, and entry was free. Lastly, I would thoroughly recommend staying at Hotel Glance - a lovely, new and modern hotel with great staff. So much art to see, hardly knew where to start! Keep looking up to see the myriad of wall frescos around the city.
Easy to get around on foot, and the free available tourist maps are worth picking up. The Duomo is free to enter, but it's worth buying the museum ticket, which lets you into 5 of the Duomo sites, of which the Batista, Bell tower, and the Museo dell'Opera del Duomo are essential viewing! Good food everywhere, but move away from the tourist centre for better priced local Trattoria.
Can't wait to plan my next visit. Florence is a great city to visit, the Uffizi and Accademia Gallery hold lots of art pieces, but the place that I enjoyed the most is the Palazzo Pitti. In Pitti, you get the full renaissance experience with luxurious rooms filled with paintings, chandeliers, mozaic tables, etc PS: there is even a throne room.
The city itself is filled with sights of old buildings and narrow streets which adds to make the experience more immersive. Very easy to get around, the major sights are in walking distance from one another and I used the taxi only to get to the hotel and back. Elvis great bar man gave us a really warm welcome where other bars and restaurants were closed or closing. Highly recommend and just over the bridge from hotel, is just a short walk away. Hotel is also very well placed for visiting the Duomo and fashionable stores of Firenze.
Anna is amazing! From arrival to departure she has been beyond helpful and accommodating. We took the upgrade for the upstairs room, and even though you would properly wake early due to sunlight, the rest of my trip in Italy I missed this kind of balcony with this kind of view. Breakfast on the small patio is a must and do yourself a favor and enjoy a glass of wine and view the city by night.
So far. Staying with Anna has made my experience in Italy so much more pleased and warm. Definitely one of the best finds in Florence! Friendly and warm-hearted staff.
The breakfast was very delicious and Various. The room was very clean and cozy it is the best experience in the whole trip in Italy. The friendly staff showed us patiently the way to visit the whole Florence city and the best restaurant. The location was super and it is fast all walking ways to all the beautiful sceneries around.
We would like to have the chance to live in this hotel again in the future. Location is great! With amazing view of Duomo!
Very friendly and helpful Staff. And there's a very delicious ice cream store downstairs!!! Room is super clean and quiet. I like Florence and I like this hotel, will stay again for my next visit for sure. Hope to see you soon :. We stayed at 4 places during our trip in Italy and Maison Bianca was absolutely the best! The room looks very good even better than hotel rooms in my opinion, yes the location is a not the best but it definately worth it.
Thank you so much Giorgio we had a great time! The room was exquisite, the bathroom luxury and the views incredible. The bed was comfortable and the addition of a smart tv was a nice touch. View of the river was beautiful and the large rainfall shower and deluxe spa bath were perfect to unwind after a day exploring Florence.
Breakfast was served at a cafe a few doors down, with one of the best buffets we had in Italy. A very modern apartment close to everything in Florence. Comfy beds, spotlessly clean, and lovely owner. Grocery store very close and excellent place to grab a cafe close by. Air-conditioning works very well.
Out of all of the places we stayed in Italy, this was the best! Glad we spent the majority of our stay in this apartment. Perfect for families. The hotel was close to the train station so ideal if you were traveling around Italy by train. Breakfast a bit meh but fine. Rooms were a great size with air con.
Very nice bathrooms too, plenty of towels. Exactly what we needed. What a great hotel in the heart of Florence. We had great accommodations, found the service to be exceptional and the complimentary breakfast was the best my family has ever experienced in any hotel in Italy. The quality of food was great. One perk is that they have an elevator for the physically challenged.
This hotel is the best from our recent trip to Italy. Their rooms are spacious compared to other hotels in the cities of Italy x2. Breakfast was great - still remember their warm, moist delicious croissants.
